Ketos Women's Team

Ketos Women's Whaleboat Rowing Club was founded in 1989. Our name comes from the Greek word "Ketos" meaning "whale".
We are a diverse group of women from all walks of life who enjoy rowing for the competitive and social aspects of the sport. Our ages range from Millenials (20s) to Boomers (70s). We are a club member of BAWRA (Bay Area Whaleboating Association) in the San Francisco Bay Area. We row in Razzle Dazzle, a historic wooden whaleboat.
Interested in learning something new, bonding with other women, getting some exercise, and having Fun? Come out and give us a try!
We row on Tuesday and Thursday nights at 6:30 for an hour practice at Embarcadero Cove in Oakland (near Quinn's Lighthouse) and Saturdays at 8:30 am.
